Well, I trust you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday! I sure did but as always the fun has to come to and end. I had to take my daughter back to college yesterday so the party is over! May I recommend the Dunkin donuts "Sausage Pancake Bites" for breakfast! I tried them for the first time this morning and I have to say they are really good! Take it from the "fatman!" Of course the single order of three bites just didn't cut it so I had to double up! Delicious!! These are a definite must try!

Well Wednesday turned out to be a miserable work day! I tried to take a few shots of just how miserable it was but the rain doesn't show up. It poured pretty much all day and the temp around 65*. Well the Nationwide Tour swing is over sadly to say! I am a little disappointed in the fact the money, contracts and player loyalty has continued to set its roots out here. It seems just as I am warming up to the new faces and old it is time to go back to the big show. I was able to go back to several Solus players and show the new wedge to but with no avail. We are continuing to test another version of the UST "Proto Spin" wedge shaft. The balance point was too high making it difficult to "trap" the ball without swing the wedge to hard. You want to be able to let the wedge do the work and trying to hit a wedge at 90-100% of your full swing speed will not produce many favorable shots. Well this first week on the Nationwide Tour went pretty well. You need to keep in mind our penetration out here is limited so the players are a little apprehensive about changing equipment let alone a wedge, if know no one will be around to service their needs from week to week. I received two more orders from Mini tour players requesting the “old groove” configuration. Quite a few of the mini tours are allowing the players to continue to play these. I had an order for the Tour 7.1 and Series 4.1 both 56 and 61 degree lofts. I will build these this week and take them with me to Omaha. Both of these players are Monday qualifying for the event.

I started to fill the back log of orders for the 52* from the players. Steve Thomas was the first to get his. The players especially on the Champions Tour have been waiting patiently for this loft. Although we have not sub mitted the sample for evaluation to the USGA the PGA Tour has added it to the log as conforming so we are good to go on tour!

Mike continued to leave his mark on this week’s Champions event at the Principal Charity Classic in Des Moines, IA. Keith Clearwater and Graham Marsh both pick up on 56’s. Tom Wargo also took another 56* while Jay Don Blake snagged a 60*. 
The wedge distribution has consistently tapered off since we have just the two lofts to offer. Today was really tough to work. We were all standing around waiting for the morning pro-am to start and looked up and they had a second pro-am which was shot gunning off of the other course! The Oak course had the normal format pro-am with scheduled tee times. There are very few events that have two pro-ams working simultaneously. "Tip of the week"-Here is a little "groove sharpening" tip. Go to your local Lowe's or Home Depot and purchase the "red" Scotchbrite polishing pads. Scrub or polish the groove section from one end of the groove to the other, back and forth. This slight polishing will clean and dress the groove edges! That's all I am going to say! Mike had a productive week at Pebble beach this week for the First Tee Open. This event is unique format where each player is paired with a First Tee junior golfer. I think this is really neat and a great opportunity for a junior golfer to play with a legend of this great game!

I received news from Mike in the Dom Rep at the Cap Cana Championship. He reports that Jack Ferenz has his new FC-10/56 in play as does J. Ross with his FC-10/60. Bruce Fleisher put his 56 and 60 right in play! Loves them!
Hal Sutton is trying to amend his Callaway contract so he can play the Solus wedges! We are not sure how this is going to play out?

Today at the API we had a big pro-am which was going off with tee times instead of a shot gun start. This process really drags the day out!

I decided to work on a request from Bernhard Langer. He wanted a new 56 FC-10 but we needed to put his adjustments on it first. Bernhard likes the leading edge about 1/2 shaft behind the hosel. I really need to get the new FC-10 in front of every player I can. A lot of these guys were surprised at the changes we made with the FC-10. Several players thought we were out with the Tour 7.1 with the new groove configuration.
I did get Justin Rose thinking! There might still be a chance!
