Spoke with Mike Nickell this morning regarding his 2010 schedule. He had just got done testing the new FC-10’s this morning in Newport. His comments were very positive and said we really have a great wedge, the best yet! He didn’t notice any loss of ball spin out of the bunkers and this club has the new grooves!
He wanted to know how quickly we would have the new model in left hand. Russ Cochran is very anxious to get a new set to put in play. Bruce Fleisher is waiting for Mike today for his new set!
I continue to receive e mails from tour players wanting to know “how much longer?” We have a very strong following on the Champions, Nationwide and mini-tours.
You guys that are currently playing the Series 4.1 and Tour 7.1’s need to be thinking of “back ups” for the future. You need to be looking at your watches and not the calendars. We can only continue to manufacture the current models this year and we must move the inventory out before 12-31-2010 beyond that we are no longer able to produce or sell the “old groove” configuration. Part of the rule change by the USGA. Boooo!!!
Remember we have the new Satin Tour 7.1 available only on our website! These clubs also have the “old grooves”! The amateur can continue to play the old grooves for several more years. I suggest buying your back ups NOW! Otherwise it might be too late!
